How would you like this beautiful 3' X 3' World Cup Budweiser Neon hanging in your rec room? Well you can...IF...you're the highest bidder in the QU Soccer Alumni Golf Shootout auction coming up on Friday, May 21st. Retail value of this sign commerating the 2010 Soccer World Cup is $500. The minimum opening bid is $250. If you are unable to attend on 5/21 you can submit a bid via e-mail to Coach Jack Mackenzie at mackejb@quincy.edu up until noon on Thursday, May 20. Bidding will be open until at least 5:30 PM next Friday. If on Friday you want to keep track of where the bidding stands you can call either 217-617-1166 or 217-653-1558 to find out and decide if you want to increase your bid.

Additionally listed below, particularly for those unable to attend the QU Soccer Alumni Golf Shootout on May 21st, are a few of the other auction items that will be available to be bid on. This list is being made known to a wider audience than those actually able to attend the event so that they too may be able to participate in this fund-raising opportunity to support the QU Men's Soccer Program. Also available to real Redbird fans is a tour of Busch Stadium (for 10) valued at $250 with a start bid of $120.

Other Cardinal ticket packages will be available at the display table on May 21st.

Need a watch? How about a Men's Seiko (black face w/black leather band) valued at $325 with a start bid of $180.

There will be numerous other auction items available at the event on 5/21. Those listed above are just to give anyone not able to be present an opportunity to participate in supporting the Soccer Hawks.

Currently there are 30 foursomes lined up to Tee-off at noon on Friday, May 21 at the Clinton Hill Golf Course in Swansea (IL). We can only handle 36 foursomes. If you haven't as yet registered to play you can still do so if you act fast. To register e-mail Jim Eagan at jim.eagan@wwt.com and copy Craig Hingle at candkhingle@mindspring.com. Registration for an individual golfer is $100 and a foursome is $400. You can pay on the day of the event by cash, check, or credit card.

If you can't play golf on 5/21 another way you can support the QU Men's Soccer Program is to become a hole sponsor. At present we have 31 who are participating this way. A hole sponsorship is $100 and gets you a sponsor sign at one of the holes on the course. To register for a hole sponsorship please e-mail both Jim and Craig at the e-mail address listed above. You can pay with a check payable to the (QU Soccer Alumni Golf) and mail to Craig Hingle at 452 Clemens Ave., St. Louis MO 63122.
